Once a weed and trash-invaded area, The Healing Garden and Labyrinth at the Whitman-Walker Clinic of Northern Virginia offer a peaceful haven for the clinic's clients, volunteers, staff, neighbors and friends.  A fieldstone patio below a pond and waterfall opens to a large strolling garden with trees, shrubs, perennials, herbs and annuals. Pathways lead to secluded benches and a large gazebo overlooking the garden.  A welcoming labyrinth features three large stones in the center to encourage pause and reflection within the labyrinth walk.  Whitman-Walker Clinic of Northern Virginia is the largest provider of services to people with AIDS in the state of Virginia, and one of four clinic offices in the Washington metro area.
