The U.S. Botanic Garden's summer exhibition "One Planet - Ours: Sustainability for the 22nd Century" features an excellent exhibit about sustainability and how each of us--- in our gardens, our landscaping, our communities --can work towards a cleaner future.

Join the Chesapeake Ecology Center for their annual Garden Open House and Native Plant Sale! Guided tours of twenty Native Plant Demonstration Gardens will be held at 11 a.m. and noon. There will be refreshments, garden information handouts, and a variety of native plants for sale. The proceeds help support the maintenance of the gardens and sites.
