Construction commences on the labyrinth at Amazing Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church. The TKF Foundation supports only 501(c)(3) organizations and is dedicated to supporting projects in the Annapolis, Maryland, Baltimore, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. areas. Grants are restricted to the purpose of creating new projects. No contributions for endowment, debt reduction, or on-going operations will be considered. Applicants are strongly encouraged to seek matching or challenge grants from other funders, and should note other funding sources being pursued when making an application with TKF. We encourage projects with a strong volunteer component that are open to the public. On-going maintenance plans are critical factors in our consideration of proposals. A full evaluation including a written report, copies of any materials generated in connection with the grant, and pictures of the project at various stages will be required of each project funded. TKF staff may schedule one or more site visits. With the agreement of the funded organization, TKF may provide a bench with the Foundation plaque and a Connections journal to be placed within the sacred place project. The Foundation also supports community celebration expenses as a line item in the proposal budget. We believe these celebrations build community morale, create a stronger sense of project ownership, and honor new relationships that have been built. |
