Open Spaces, Sacred PlacesThis program welcomes grant requests from 501(c)(3) organizations for projects such as community parks, healing and restorative gardens, memorial or remembrance gardens, prison gardens, labyrinths, art in public spaces, overlooks and other. We encourage projects that are open to as broad a public as possible and accessible to people of all beliefs, faiths and cultures.
A dove is released at the dedication ceremony for the sacred space at St. Anthony's Baltimore. Community GreeningThis program encourages community-based initiatives through small scale plantings of flowers, trees, shrubs, and foliage. It also supports the establishment of urban gardens and/or orchards including community sustainable agriculture. Funding is available through direct grants to pre-approved public non-profits that support TKF's vision of community gardening initiatives.
